Section 28
Records Of Motor Vehicle To Be Maintained
The competent authority shall cause the details of each motor vehicle registered pursuant to this Act, including the name and address of owner, date of registration, and registration number, of the motor vehicle, name of motor vehicle manufacturer, model, year, engine number, chassis number, type and weight of the motor vehicle to be clearly mentioned in the register and maintain records of motor vehicles in an updated manner. The photograph of the owner of the motor vehicle must also be affixed on the concerned page of such a register.
